Sizes are for planning. Send the narrowest gap on the way in and we confirm which machine fits.
How an operated hire works
Send the job
What needs digging or moving, the site postcode, the narrowest access point and the dates you have in mind.
We quote
The machine and operator we would send, how many days we expect the work to take, and the price.
The operator does the work
The machine arrives with its operator and works to your direction for the booked days. It leaves site when the hire ends.
Where we work
South and West Wales
Each area page covers the jobs we take on there and the access questions that come up most. Further afield? Send the job and we will say if we can cover it.
Paperwork for site inductions
Most building sites ask for the operator's card, the hire terms and an insurance certificate before a machine goes on. We send copies with the quote when you need them.
Before you book
Copperworks takes its name from the copperworks of the lower Swansea Valley, a world centre of copper smelting in the 1800s. Copperworks Plant Hire is a trading name of Dragon Multi-Trade Limited.
Read the hire termsWho tells the operator what to dig?
You or your site lead. The operator runs the machine, checks it each day and keeps it safe on site, and digs where you direct.
How do you know which machine will fit?
Measure the narrowest gate, passage or gap on the way to the work and put it on the quote request. Photos of the access help too.
Can I hire a machine without an operator?
No. Copperworks only hires machines with an operator.
